We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our film participants for their openness and generosity in sharing their stories with us. This latest project absolutely could not have happened without them. We’ve been touched and inspired by their strength, grace and sense of humor in facing this terrible disease and are so happy that they are now part of the DCMF family.
We’re also very fortunate to have connected with Freelance Whales and their management team. We want to thank this fabulous NYC band for lending us their song, Generator ^ First Floor, as the soundtrack for our latest film. They really are a wonderfully talented group and we encourage you to check them out!
We’d also like to thank the dedicated group of volunteers from the Visual Identity Group at Deloitte & Touche LLP, led by Tracy Scott and Sharon Pang, for all their hard work to develop the logo and visual identity of the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund. The logo’s use of the colours blue and yellow and the sunburst/sunflower image were chosen to represent DCMF’s vision and to portray a positive image to represent David himself who was an incredibly positive and optimistic individual. The symbol and logo are meant to portray hope and life which is what the Fund hopes to achieve through the power of education.
We of course have to thank our amazing creative agency in Toronto, Evidently. From the beginning, our writer/creative director Marisa Caple and account manager Doug Blendell treated this as more than just another job, investing an unbelievable amount of time and expertise in creating this website you’re on and our new film, “Dear 16-year-old Me.” We’re incredibly grateful for everything they’ve brought to the Fund and proud to have them as our creative partners.
