#BeSunSafe is an award-winning skin cancer prevention program. Established in 2017, in partnership with the City of Toronto, the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund and the Douglas Wright Foundation, BeSunSafe proudly provides sunscreen, shade and awareness in Toronto.

DCMF RESEARCH AWARD

The David Cornfield Melanoma Fund Research Award was launched in 2015 at the University of Toronto in David Cornfield’s memory. Jointly funded by DCMF and the University of Toronto, this $100,000 endowed award supports excellence in melanoma research.

LIVE LONGER

The Live Longer campaign raises awareness of the impact of melanoma in Canada and the importance of prevention. It empowers Canadians to protect their skin from the sun and take action to reduce their risk of melanoma.

Our mission is to save lives from melanoma skin cancer.

Recognized as a Canadian leader and a global voice, the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund raises melanoma awareness, promotes prevention and supports research.

We empower Canadians to reduce their risk of melanoma through prevention initiatives like BeSunSafe, our award-winning sunscreen dispenser program in City of Toronto parks. We raise awareness through powerful communications like Dear 16 Year Old Me, our award-winning, life-saving video. We invest in innovative research through funding such as the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund Award for Research at the University of Toronto. We strive, always, to honour David’s wish that no other family loses a loved one to melanoma.
