SPECIAL THANKS
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our film participants for their openness and generosity in sharing their stories with us. Dear 16 Year Old Me could not have happened without them. We have been touched and inspired by their strength, grace and sense of humor in facing this terrible disease and are so happy that they are now part of the DCMF family.
We would also like to thank Evidently for creating the video, the band Freelance Wales for lending us their song Generator First Floor and Deloitte for developing the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund brand identity.

Dear 16 Year Old Me: More from Meghan
My first experience with melanoma was when I was diagnosed! The first year after my diagnosis was extremely difficult both physically and emotionally. Seven years later I think I’ve changed a negative experience into a positive one by starting Surviving Skin and helping to spread awareness about this deadly disease.
Dear 16 Year Old Me: More from Meredith
Meredith passed away on February 24, 2014 with her beloved family by her side. We were so privileged to know this special young woman who left an indelible mark on our hearts. Meredith was truly a beautiful person - both inside and out. Meredith will never be forgotten. You can read our tribute to Meredith here.
Dear 16 Year Old Me: Sari
I'm one of the Founders of the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund. David was my husband. We have a special section on the site to tell you about his story - you can click here to get there.
Dear 16 Year Old Me: JJ
I'm J.J., 41 years old, diagnosed at 35. I was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, but been a Toronto girl since 1990. I'm the Director of IT at John St. Advertising in Toronto.
Dear 16 Year Old Me: Jeff
My melanoma was caught by mistake at a routine trip to the hairdresser. Little did I know that what she told me to check out would turn out to be malignant melanoma.
